Dr.'s Update

I took the morning off work to accompany Amy to the Doctor's for another ultrasound. It turns out, the baby is actually slightly smaller than average, at just under 6 pounds. He is beyond a doubt a he. His heart is pumping away and is his lungs are working, that explains why he gets the hiccups all the time. It looks like everything is going well and he is ready to go at any time. Here is the latest picture of him. If you look right at the top of the ultrasound you can see his face. His chin is to the left. His arm is partially covering and it is squished up against something but you can definately make it out.

Switch Covers

While I was at work yesterday Amy made a few small changes to the nursery. There are two switches and you can see what she did below.

How Big is this Kid?

Amy had a doctor's apointment this morning. The Dr. has told her several times that the baby is larger than average. This morning though she saw the nurse for her checkup and the nurse believes that the baby might actually be smaller than originally thought. Because of this, we have an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday morning to try to get a good idea of how big the kid is. I haven't seen an ultrasound since 20 weeks so I am excited to join Amy so that I can see what he looks like now. I guess we probably won't know exactly how big he is until he is finally here.

What Will He Look Like?

The baby is coming any day now, we packed a bag this weekend for the hospital and have been keeping gas in the cars just in case we need to head out in a hurry. We are becoming very anxious to meet the new little one and wondering waht he is going to look like, apparently he has more hair than I do already. Amy keeps saying that she hopes he looks like me. I thought that since a picture says a thousand words I would put together this idea for her and take the opportunity to remind her to be careful what she wishes for. Now don't worry, no babies were harmed in the production of this picture.

Belly Shot

Well it looks like Amy is gaining ground in the poll. I am convinced she is cheating and having all of her office mates vote for her. Anyway, it is almost a dead heat. Amy bought me a new camera for my birthday so I was taking some pictures last night. I needed a new one so that I can get some good pictures in the hospital. In the meantime, here is a shot of the belly from last night. This will probably be the last one. Hopefully, the next pictures I post will be of the baby.

Amy's First Post

She couldn't stay silent any longer. Amy posted a comment about the poll but I wanted it to be seen so I thought I would give her her own post. Here it is:

Since Clint got to put in his plug for the date, I wanted to try and sway the vote as well. I don' think he is coming until after the 10th, so if you are placing a bet, vote AFTER THE 10th. I actually have the 10th and the 11th in the baby pool.

By the way, I have the 6th in the pool and just to hedge my bet a little, I picked up the 17th also.

Amy just had her birthday and mine is on March 10th. That means that much to her disdain, if the baby is born in between now and then she will be an older mom than I am a dad. The baby is due on March 7th, and I wanted to see when everyone else thinks he is coming. Shower Update

Amy and I finished grouting the shower around 9:30 last night. Here are a few pictures of the end result.

Labor!

No not ours, but a friend of ours went into labor 2 nights ago so she has the baby by now. We haven't heard yet any news from them. It makes us a little anxious because we are next and it is coming up fast. Amy is starting to feel uncomfortable. We have been trying to keep gas in the cars and food in the house just in case it happens soon.

Master Bath Remodel

Amy and I are up to our elbows in remodeling the master bath, trying to get it done before the baby comes we have made pretty good progress. I am going to try to put a link here to the .pdf file showing our progress.

Baby's New Coat

We picked up a coat for the baby the other day just in case it is still cold when he arrives. It is yellow with a rabbit on the front. It has a little tail on the back and a hood with ears.
