So this post is a bit late, but nonetheless it is here. Clare (and her mom, Sarah) made a visit up north. We all had a blast hanging out, watching the kids, and making a trip up north(er) to see some family. Clare and Everett loved each other, fought like siblings, and were beyond adorable. A few things learned
~ Clare will never be a boxer - her hit is as light as a feather (if she even makes contact)
~ Everett can run circles around children his own age. Poor Clare was dizzy a lot.
~ Aunt Sarah can calm the restless beast that is Everett through her songs (at least for a few minutes)
~ sharing juice cups is fun, sharing colds, not so much
~ Clare does not understand what a dog is unless it weighs about 100 pounds. Small dogs scare her (but she eventually warmed up)
~ Clare will be a photographer
~ Everett loves shoes?
~ Our family can fit on one couch cushion - this is regardless of the actual number of family members in attendance
The aftermath - Everett still asks for Clare everyday. He calls her on the phone and every baby he sees is called Clare. I am not allowed to sing the songs that Aunt Sarah did. I get told "no, Sar" and have to pick another song. And we still have that cold from Clare raging in our house!
We can't wait for another visit. Our turn to go down south next, so we plan on going when the new baby arrives (theirs, not ours)!

Sarah, Tad, Clare and Baby
How lucky for Everett to get to grow up closely with his cousin, Clare. Cousins have such a special relationship!
Both children, so cute! I can't wait to see the next two cousins.
Love, Diana
