Jack's First Video

Here is a short video from Jack's first night. This was taken about an hour after birth. I put my hand in there so you can see how small he is.

Jack Martin Miller Arrives

Well it was a very stressful night. By the time we were on our way to the hospital at 11:00 everything was in full swing. We got to the room at 11:15, the DR arrived at 11:30 and at 11:37PM out came little Jack weighing in at 7 lbs 11 oz and 19 in long. Here are the first pictures.

Happy Birthday Everett

I was hoping to be able to post about 2 birthdays, but the littlest Miller seems to be a bit on the stubborn side.... Nonetheless, Everett had a fantastic 2nd birthday.
We started the day off with Everett sneaking in a quick opening before breakfast.
Here is the newest addition to the family - Baby Elmo. Everett feeds him, puts him to bed, and he goes everywhere with us. Thanks to the Venns- this will be perfect when the baby comes!
Daddy made Everett some special mickey "cakes" for breakfast.
Then we went upstairs to show Everett his train set. He loved it!

He played for about an hour and a half and and then we went downstairs to open some more gifts. Grandpa Moose got him "cars" (lightning McQueen). We then had to watch some of the movie. Grandma and Grandpa Miller got some food and plates and we had a picnic.

What a ham!

We had a good day and went over Grammi and Pappa's for homemade pizza dinner. Yum!
After dinner was mickey cupcakes, but Everett doesn't like his hands dirty, so he only used his mouth.

And some more gifts. Aunt Sarah got him another Elmo pillowcase - he loves his big boy bed and has to have an Elmo pillowcase on it. He got some great new books for dinnertime too.

And Grammi and Pappa gave him some awesome blocks, a "mato-head" and some awesome "cars". We have to play "mato -head" and blocks every morning.Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Miller sent Everett some money in the mail. He took it straight to the pet store to pick up some more fish for his aquarium. Then he took one of his girlfriends on a date to the play place. Auntie Katie also sent a more than generous savings bond for Everett as well. Thanks Auntie Katie and everyone for making it a great birthday!
And another update. Everett's godparents, Brian and Ali, sent Everett a more than generous savings bond as well. Thanks guys!! Now that I am a stay-at-home mom, I hope to send you pictures and updates more often. Love you!

The Due Date Counter

You may have noticed that the due date counter on the right hand side has gone into negative numbers. This means that the due date has come and gone, still no baby, and we are still waiting. We hope he comes soon.

Everett's birthday present

So Clint and I decided to make Everett a train set that we could roll out from under his bed. Everett helped with the screwing and the measuring.

Then we screwed down the train set, painted roads, a beach, ponds and fields. All we had left was adding the props. We hope he likes it!
Here is the finished product.
The city and beach half. The pond and safari half.

What do they say?

Everett has everyone down.

What does the doctor say? No more monkeys on the bed.

What does Grammi say? No No Wilson - ie. That dog doesn't listen.

What does mommy say? Cook cook - ie. I'm hungry, someone make me some food.

What does daddy say? Cook cook - ie. Daddy does all the cooking when mommy or Everett is hungry.

Everett on American Idol

Amy got an American Idol Karaoke game for Wii this Christmas and Everett absolutely loves it. He has picked up on a Beyonce song that he loves to sing all the time. I took this quick video of it yesterday. It cracks Amy and I up everytime.

Everett Dresses Himself

Just a quick video of Everett after he put his coat on. I though it was pretty funny.

Everett gets a fish!

Lets face it, Napolean isn't the family dog. He is our (Clint and Amy) dog and he tolerates Everett. So when Clint heard that Clare got a fish, he thought we must need one as well. He and Everett went out one day and bought a brand new aquarium and loaded it up with a "pie-ate" ship, some plants and a few fish. Sadly we have had two losses (I think they were heart attacks from the banging on the glass, Clint says they were sick), but we also have a frog named Riddit or nine (it depends on the day). Every night Everett goes "nu-night" with the "fish-ees", but it is definitely Daddy who enjoys the tank most.

Adding the "pie-ate" ship. He LOVES pirates.

Clare comes to visit!

So this post is a bit late, but nonetheless it is here. Clare (and her mom, Sarah) made a visit up north. We all had a blast hanging out, watching the kids, and making a trip up north(er) to see some family. Clare and Everett loved each other, fought like siblings, and were beyond adorable. A few things learned

~ Clare will never be a boxer - her hit is as light as a feather (if she even makes contact)
~ Everett can run circles around children his own age. Poor Clare was dizzy a lot.
~ Aunt Sarah can calm the restless beast that is Everett through her songs (at least for a few minutes)
~ sharing juice cups is fun, sharing colds, not so much
~ Clare does not understand what a dog is unless it weighs about 100 pounds. Small dogs scare her (but she eventually warmed up)
~ Clare will be a photographer
~ Everett loves shoes?
~ Our family can fit on one couch cushion - this is regardless of the actual number of family members in attendance
The aftermath - Everett still asks for Clare everyday. He calls her on the phone and every baby he sees is called Clare. I am not allowed to sing the songs that Aunt Sarah did. I get told "no, Sar" and have to pick another song. And we still have that cold from Clare raging in our house!

We can't wait for another visit. Our turn to go down south next, so we plan on going when the new baby arrives (theirs, not ours)!
