Outdoor Life

Amy and I decided to start riding our bikes more and picked up one of those baby trailers last weekend. You can see a picture of it below. We put close to 5 miles a night on the trailer and over the weekend our total was about 20-30 miles. We used the car only twice the entire weekend. The baby loves this thing and falls asleep all the time in it. To top it all off, the dog loves it too. He rides in the back and looks out of the windows. We have a good picture of the two of them in there. I will post it in the next few days.

I figure pulling the trailer is good exercise and training for my 31 mile charity ride coming up next weekend. There are more details on that on the right hand side.

Not too much has changed with Everett, he is still a very happy, content, smiling baby. He sleeps through the night now and has rolled over a couple times. He isn't rolling over consistently yet. It is funny to watch because we know he has the strength to do it, it just seems like he is to happy and content all the time to want to roll over.

Genius?

Yesterday Everett worked out the theory of relativity....but then he got tired and fell asleep. I am so proud of him.

Sneaky Everett

Here is another picture of how good Everett is at blending in. Can you find the baby?

2 month update

Everett turned 2 months old last Saturday and continues to grow at a rapid pace. He weighs in at almost 12 pounds now and you can tell from the photo below where he has put on the weight.

He has found his hands and sticks them in his mouth to get them all slobbered up before wiping them all around his face and mommy and daddy's faces. He likes his tummy time and also enjoys watching his mobile go around. There is a new video up (use the links to the right) of him in his crib kicking and watching his mobile. There will also be new pictures in the gallery (the newer pictures are toward the bottom.) Here he is in his Old Navy pajama pants.

Amy has left him alone with me several times and always makes fun of the clothes that I choose to dress him in. Well, she asked for it. When she got home this morning she couldn't see him because he blended in to his surroundings so well.

Clare

There are some new pictures of Clare up in her gallery. These are at about 2 months old. It would sure be nice if she would share some of the hair of hers.

Recent Pictures

Here is a picture from this past weekend in Jersey where we met up with my parents.
A picture of bathtime last night.

This is also from last weekend where Everett got to meet Lindsey.

And this picture, Amy was sneaky about snapping while we were sleeping.

All the pictures will be added to the multimedia section shortly.

All Smiles

Everett has been all smiles the past few weeks. In fact, even at 3:00 in the morning, half naked on a changing table he can't help but look up at Amy and flash her his gums. He also thinks that I am hilarious. He is weighing in at about 11 pounds now and has pretty good neck strength. I have updated the pictures in the album so they can be downloaded but here is that smile.

I'm Ridin For Charity

Hey everyone, Amy and I are working on the announcements right now so they will be out soon. Also, I signed up for a charity ride to raise money for diabetes research. It is June 10 and I am signed up to do 32 miles here in Connecticut. If you feel like helping out you can visit my donation site below. I will also eventually put a link on the right that will also lead to the site.

CLINT'S DONATION SITE

In other news, Everett had a Dr's appointment today and it turns out (like we didn't already know) he is growing like a mad man. After exactly one month he weighs a whopping 9.5 pounds. He has been putting on an ounce and a half a day since his first appointment. The Dr assured us that since he is gaining weight so well we no longer have to wake him up in the middle of the night to feed him, good news for Amy.

Blog Spring Cleaning

I have finally gotten to the changes I wanted to make to this site. You will notice that the video is not embedded in the top of the blog now. It hasn't gone away. There is a new section over on the right called multimedia. It holds a link to all of the videos I have uploaded (there are 3 at time of writing) and there is also a link to pictures. This is nice because now you can view more than just the one video at a time. Also, since the pictures link is public you do not have to sign in to anything and you can view and download high quality pictures. This means that if you want you can put them on a flash drive or CD, take them to Walmart or CVS, and print out copies. The quality is good enough that 4x6 prints will come out nicely.

There is also a link to photos of Clare. Clare is Everett's older cousin, by 5 days.

Another minor change is that every post ever written is no longer on this front page. That will help the page load faster. They haven't gone away either. They are simply in the archives also located over on the right.

Hopefully these new changes will make the site a little easier to navigate and interact with. Always feel free to hit the comment link in any post and give a suggestion, the comments get e-mailed directly to me.

Easter Clare

Here is a recent picture of my niece in her Easter Bunny costume. Just thought it was a good one.

Everett is doing well. He has started to smile once in a while and I got to feed him a bottle last night. He took to it pretty well. Here is a more recent picture of him and I.

Thanks to Everyone

Amy and I wanted to take a moment to publicly thank everyone for the wonderful support we have received along with the interest that you have shown in us and the little one. The outpouring of gifts has been overwhelming and we thank you once again for your generocity. I have ordered the birth announcements and will be sending them out shortly along with Thank-Yous to everyone. Hopefully Amy and I can take some time while the baby is sleeping to get them all addressed and sent out quickly. Everett thanks you also.

Lesson Learned

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but this is why you do not carry a naked baby around.

He is a Pooper

Everett is getting used to home life and starting to get used to our schedule. He still goes to bed around 9:30 and then wakes up around 2:30, he then sleeps the rest of the night. Yesterday was my first day back to work and Amy's first day home along with him. He decided to give her hell in the form of poop. He went through 3 outfits yesterday. I myself got peed on last night when I got home. Here is the picture Amy took for me so that I could share in the wonderful day. I guess this diaper wasn't quite on right.

Week Old

Everett is almost a week old. He is doing well and Amy is recovering. He had his first Dr's visit on Friday where he barely cried and the Dr. says he has the strength of a 1-month-old. I guess we are going to have our hands full. He definately recognizes Amy's voice and he is starting to get used to mine. We have had pretty good nights so far, he goes to bed between 9 and 10, wakes up around 2:00 AM to be fed and changed, and then sleeps the rest of the night until around 8 in the morning. The dog loves him and has to be near him all the time. He has met both sets of grandparents now.

Video Should be Fixed

Alright, I have gotten some feedback that the video wasn't working so I modified the code and it should be viewable now.

Baby Video

Above the posts you should see a video box with a play button in the middle of it. To view the video you just need to hit the play button and wait for it to load. You may need to hit the button twice.

Amy and Everett are both doing very well. It looks like we will be getting out of the hospital tomorrow morning after the Dr's rounds. It will be nice to get out of here, the hospital is boring and he is sleeping a lot in between eating. It has allowed me time to get the pictures and video out to everyone so I guess that is a good thing.

Thank you to everyone for the comments and well wishes. They are a lot of fun to read while we are here.
